I am in love with soap molds these days, so very many in all shapes and sizes. The silicone ones are pretty much all I use though, so much easier to unmold the soaps. Of course the loaf shapes are nice for stacking colors, which is all new to me but it is fun to play with layering colors and such. I have joined several soap groups on facebook, some of these soapers are masters at soap art but I am content for now and my evening shower time is awesome, I never know which one I want to use that day. Below are just a few of the molds that I got recently and haven't had a chance to try out yet.

 Hello to all my friends, it has been a long time since I have updated this blog, but I am looking forward to getting back to it. As you all know, I am a painter and designer for many years but alas, my eyesight has diminished and I find myself searching for a new home hobby that holds my interest, and I have found that I really enjoy making soaps and body butters and so much more, the house is often fragrant with some new scent I am trying.

I am naming my little side hustle Small Batches, Soaps, Etc. I have already started selling to friends and neighbors and a few online orders, it is so exciting at the age of 76 to be able to achieve a new goal. Nothing will ever truly take the place of painting for me but this is running a very close second, I am hoping with time and some eye treatments that my eyesight will be at least partially restored but now I have something to fall back on with my free time. When I say free time, that covers many hours, I have become quite reclusive in my older age and home feels like my safety net, I even have a personal shopper now and he knows exactly what I want and from what stores.

I am including a couple photos of things I have been working on and aas I learn more of course I will let you all know.
