The first day of a new year and hoping that 2014 is as wonderful as the past year has been, there have been ups and downs of course but that is to be expected from someone who suffers with bi-polar disorder, you would think after all these years I would get use to the fact that there are just days that stink.
The weather always affects how my moods will swing and for the past several weeks we have had so much cold and snow here in Western Pa. that I must say I am already looking forward to Spring and being able to get out more, you would wonder why I would stay in such a cold climate but here is where my roots are and here I shall stay.
I have made many new friends during this past year and am so very grateful to all who have come and visited me and made my life a little brighter. Even though the temps have forced me to close down the garage that I call Cobwebs and All, I still continue to buy and sell antiques and items of interest and am now a small part of a sweet new shop in the local area that is called Sweet Magnolia's and operated by dear friends who have worked so hard to make the new shop a success.
I also have a few new designs for decorative painting that are available at The Decorative Painting Store and plan to add more in the near future. Must say that I painted more furniture over the previous Summer into Fall than decorative painting, lets face it, there is more money in furniture painting and as time goes by and my eyesight is no longer what it should be it is a lot easier to paint a dresser or a sideboard than it is to paint fine details on a painting. I just keep going to larger canvases and surfaces.
I continue to enjoy the company of my small companion Sammy, who does keep me a little more active than I would normally be, this little dog actually understands me when I talk to him, hahaha, and he is a real joy in my otherwise quiet life.
I am wishing you each and every one a very Happy 2014, may God be with you and keep you well.
